Hi there, I am a dog groomer and just wanted to issue a friendly warning. I work at a grooming salon in the Denver area. Recently, we have seen some proud new puppy owners bringing in their new babies to get groomed. These new parents have been told that their new babies are between 8-14 weeks old. Folks, we’ve had these puppies seen by our vet and we can assure you that they are no older that 4-5 weeks old. Puppies need their mothers until AT LEAST 8 weeks old. The amount of health and behavioral problems that could occur due to being taken away from mom at this age is endless. We are also seeing a lot of fake vaccinations records; so PLEASE make sure you are working with a reputable breeder. This breaks my heart to see these pups being separated at such a young age. If you EVER have any questions, have the breeder meet you at a vet clinic to verify their age and health.
