Job Description We are looking for a competent and compassionate Caregiver for a position to care of a husband and wife. Our clients need assistance with ADL's. Laundry and cooking will; be a big part of the job a general homemaker. It’s an often demanding job as you will have to be available for most of the day and week. Drivers license a must as she needs to be taken to Doctors visits. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients. Responsibilities Remind clients to take prescribed medicationAssist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)Assist clients with personal care and hygieneHelp clients with physical therapy exercisesPlan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shopPerform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their ownBe a pleasant and supportive companionReport any unusual incidentsAct quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Skills Proven experience as a caregiverExcellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraintsWillingness to adhere to health and safety standardsRespectful and compassionateGood time management skillsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsStrong ethicsPhysical enduranceHigh school diploma or equivalent Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Please call Snug and Comfort Home Care at 630-642-4654 to set up an interview.
