In recognition of National Kidney Awareness Month, the Henderson & Head families will host a Kidney Awareness Walk for Rosalind Henderson! The Henderson & Head Families are raising awareness to bring attention to Kidney Disease and how someone can help people who are affected by it. Rosalind Henderson is a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, grant-grandmother, aunt and First Lady of Rock Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She has battled with Kidney Disease for 5 years while going to dialysis 3 times a week. The Henderson & Head families are in search of a Kidney for Rosalind Henderson and both families will host the Kidney Awareness Walk to serve as ambassadors for the community. Why does Rosalind need a kidney transplant? She has kidney disease caused by hypertension and diabetes How will having a kidney transplant change her quality of life? Attending grandchildren’s extracurricular activitiesParticipating in family vacations and functionsEnding weekly dialysis treatments The Walk is FREE, but the families encourage everyone to register. Please note that social distance will be practiced and masks are required!
