Description

Join us for weekly worship in the Sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, Fernandina Beach for weekly worship. Some aspects of our church service will be different when we gather for worship indoors in the sanctuary. To allow more people to attend, we will have a slightly abbreviated order of service lasting around 45 minutes. Although we will need to avoid congregational singingand spoken liturgy and prayers, we encourage everyone to offer silent prayers and songs as the pastors and choir lead worship with thei r voices. The passing of offering plates is not recommended right now, so we’ll have a plate for you to place your offering when you exit the sanctuary. You may also give using the Give+ app or through the church website. We will even have a special way to have Holy Communion together on the first Sunday in each month. If everyone follows CDC guidelines these precautions will express our care for each other and our community RSVP: Each worship service will have accommodations for 70 people to attend. Please RSVP no later than Thursday at noon for that Sunday's worship service. Each person in a family will need a reservation. Children under 2 who are in child carriers or can sit on laps do not need a reservation. Should the spots fill up, overflow up to 70 worshippers will be seated in Jim Thomas Hall, and automatically placed on a waiting list for the Sanctuary. Please make sure to sign up for the wait list because we may be able to release sanctuary seats during the week. If you are unable to attend, please follow the link and remove your reservation to release the spot for someone else. Worship Spots: Each family unit will be seated according to a seating chart that will change each week based on reservations. Assignments are made to keep family units together and providing maximum seating possibilities in the configurations possible. Ushers will show you to your seats, and you are asked not to change places with other groups. Precautions We Will Follow As A Church Family: Your temperature will be taken upon arrival - those with a fever will be asked to remain outside and attend worship another time. Please be respectful of the other church members and maintain a 6’ distance from people outside your family unit as you arrive and depart from the FPC Campus . You will enter through the Compass doors or through Jim Thomas Hall on 6th street, and exit through the sanctuary. If you need to exit through the Compass to accessible parking, please wait until other worshippers have left the sanctuary. Attendees over the age of 2 are required to wear a mask inside any buildings on campus. Additional safety information may be read at: http://www.first-presbyterian-church-32034.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/2021-Informed-Consent.pdf Children: Children are invited to worship with their families. We are continuing to work on Sunday Morning Christian Education and Nursery options for children. We will keep you updated.
