Running Car Stolen From Elmhurst Detailing Shop: Cops

ELMHURST, IL — A car that was stolen at an Elmhurst detailing business on Friday was later found in Chicago, according to a police report. About 5 p.m., the car, which was running and unattended at 123 Fast Lane Detailing Center, 528 W. Grand Ave., was stolen, police said. Video footage showed the suspect in the act. The car was recovered in Chicago, but no suspect was on hand, police said. Through an investigation, police found the suspect, Ayanna H. Martinez, 33, of Chicago, who was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The car was being detailed for Ole Auto Sales, according to Fast Lane. Martinez was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
