Brought to you by the Butterfly Wonderland Foundation, this event provides a wonderful opportunity to peruse a variety of desert botanicals and enjoy exclusive first access to choose your plants - including host and nectar plants - at Butterfly Wonderland's annual spring plant sale. All proceeds from the spring plant sale support the mission and programs of the Butterfly Wonderland Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to conservation-based education and initiatives. EIN 27-4186543. This special members-only evening includes a presentation on Attracting Butterflies to Your Desert Garden by Master Gardener, Adriane Grimaldi. Adriane has designed more than a dozen butterfly gardens, and her personal garden has been certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat. Meet Butterfly Wonderland's new entomologist, Derek Kellogg. Derek joins the Butterfly Wonderland team with a wealth of knowledge, including management of living butterfly collections, exhibit management, and now, oversight of the largest butterfly conservatory in the U.S. On this special evening, Derek will be available to chat and provide a 'sneak peek' at an extraordinary collection that was recently donated to Butterfly Wonderland by Della Johnson in memory of her late husband, metal sculptor and artist, Gary Johnson. Meet Butterfly Wonderland's ambassador volunteers, Don and Candy Miller, and see their amazing gourd creations from their home business, Divine Design Studio. From exquisite bowls to extraordinary hummingbird feeders, Don and Candy's creations are truly one-of-a-kind. Their gourd artistry will be on display and available for purchase during this special members-only event.
