Softscape Crew Leader Lynch Landscaping is looking for an individual who can manage a crew of 2-4 people installing landscape beds and plant material. Duties will include but not be limited to: communication with designer and clients, managing hours on jobs, plant layout and installation, along with managing and training of members on their crew. Necessary Attributes and Abilities • Valid Driver’s License • Willing to work hard for long hours and on Saturdays when necessary • Tobacco Free • Ability to lift 60lbs and physically active • Ability to read and understand landscape architectural plans • Willingness to learn • Creative • Follow safety standards • Good customer service skills • Must be able to take direction and be flexible • Softscape installation experience preferred • Ability to operate softscape tools and equipment such as tractor, backhoe, and mini excavator • Complete tasks on time and is goal oriented • Work with crews/team with the ability and willingness to train and motivate crew members • 2 years’ experience in the horticulture industry preferred • Have a strong knowledge of plants and plant care as well as knowledge of planting techniques including trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, and herbaceous plant material preferred • CDL (Class A) License strongly preferred, but not required Additional Abilities A pesticide license for vegetative management and ornamentals, equipment experience, and design experience are preferred, but not required. Compensation and Benefits Starting pay is $14.50-$18.00 an hour, compensation will be dependent upon the successful candidates’ abilities and experience.
