Paradise Found Plant Nursery and The Thirsty Gecko Garden are thrilled to host the first ever Kif Family Jam! Brought to you by Electric Kif, Miami’s jazz fusion powerhouse - the day will keep you moving and grooving with performances by: Anemoia, Oigo, TWYN, Lemon City Trio and Electric Kif with special sit-ins by one of Miami’s top percussionists Brian Potts. Unique plant walks, garden tours and special workshops will enchant guests in between music and our beloved Soup Madam will be popping up with all of her delicious soups and sandwiches for purchase at The Brothel. More surprise announcements to come! The schedule will be announced soon, but in the meantime, get to know these spectacularly funktastic musicians: Anemonia is an instrumental indie trio formed from improvisations based in Miami, Fl. Centered around minimalist melody and groove, the group’s debut record was released in January 2020. OIGO is politely irreverent music, curated by Suenalo's Adrian Gonzalez-Arredondo. OIGO offers pleasantly written original tunes, interspersed with familiar songs played in a slightly unfamiliar way. Miami's future-jazz duo, TWYN, is a collaboration between Electric Kif's keyboardist, Jason Matthews & Lemon City Trio's drummer, Aaron Glueckauf. Known individually as catalysts in the rapidly evolving Miami music scene, the electronic duo aim to challenge the limitations of instrumental and pop-based songwriting. Brian Potts is a versatile performer and dedicated educator with a passion for Brazilian percussion. In addition to his love of Brazilian music, Brian has sought to help make the pandeiro an international and limitless phenomenon by adapting the instrument to a wide variety of styles, including jazz, funk, soul, Latin, and classical music. Lemon City Trio was formed in Miami, Fl for the love of playing Soul music and New Orleans Funk. Guitarist Nick Tannura, and drummer Aaron Glueckauf joined forces with organist and keyboard wizard, Brian Robertson to create an outlet for their joint passion. Since then, the band has continued to push its envelope and blend influences to create a niche amongst Organ Trios. With their first release,"Welcome to the Neighborhood," Lemon City Trio shows a taste for cinematic guitar textures, hip-hop grooves, and slinky Cajun beats. Electric Kif are a Miami-based power quartet that explore the boundaries between rock, jazz fusion and electronic drum & bass. Made up of bassist Rodrigo Zambrano, keyboardist Jason Matthews, drummer Armando Lopez and guitarist Eric Escanes, the “Kif” describe their music as “post-nuclear,” a dynamic mash of hard hitting groove, high octane riffs and cosmic funk.
