DUBLIN, CA — One pet died in a house fire in Dublin Monday morning, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.
A fire was confirmed around 10:30 a.m. at an apartment fire in the 7900 block of Dublin's South Lake Drive, according to smartphone app PulsePoint. Alameda County firefighters arrived to find flames billowing from an open window and dark smoke cloaking the complex.
Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames and stopped them from spreading to neighboring units, the fire department said.
No residents or firefighters were injured, but an animal died due to smoke inhalation, the fire department said.
