MARIETTA, GA — A northeast Marietta boutique won one of seven categories at the 2020 Retailer Excellence Awards.
Ivy Lane, a specialty boutique located on Sandy Plains Road in Marietta, won first place in the Socially Responsible category at the REAs, which is put on by the Gifts & Decorative Accessories Magazine every year for the last 69 years. The awards took place virtually on Aug. 6, 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The 7-year-old boutique sponsors a minimum of 20 charitable per year, including the annual spring fundraiser: the Sources of Strength fashion show.
"As we outline our our goals for 2021, we are energized more than ever to incorporate giving back to our community as a top initiative," said Julie Turner, owner of Ivy Lane, in the release. "Our annual Sources of Strength event will be back, with a fund raising goal of $20,000, supporting Cobb County students with suicide awareness and prevention knowledge."
The 2021 Sources of Strength fashion show is set to take place in April or May.
