Press release from West Islip School District: Feb. 22, 2021 As part of a Breakout EDU activity, eighth graders in Larry Sciarrino's algebra class at West Islip's Udall Road Middle School recently worked to solve algebra puzzles to unlock their Breakout boxes. "Once in the box, they were able to escape from the deserted Island of Despair," Sciarrino said. "Solving and graphing linear equations was the 'key' to success."
