BENICIA, CA – Local police are warning residents to be aware of a mountain lion that has been spotted in local neighborhoods Monday afternoon, police said. The cat was spotted in the area behind Duvall and Dunham courts and has not displayed any aggressive behavior toward humans or pets, Benicia police reported on social media. Police warned residents walking in the area not to approach the mountain lion and to be mindful when in the area.
