In this workshop you will learn how to identify wild plants in the local landscape and take them from the field and forest to a completed basket. Inspired by the structures of many a wild creature, this basket style can be one of the simplest and yet most complex constructions. Each person should leave with a basket either complete or far enough in process to confidently finish at home. Luke Bauer is a basket maker, forager, woods wanderer, educator and certified permaculturist. He has been actively engaging in the process of nature reconnection for over a decade. He leads classes and retreats around ancestral skills at Rolling Ridge Study Retreat in Harpers Ferry, WV. Tools: please bring a sharp knife or hand pruners if you have them, some tools will be available to use onsite.
