Woman Killed In East Birmingham Shooting

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A woman was shot and killed Saturday night in east Birmingham in the 7600 block of 2nd Ave. North. Lateshia Danner, 33, has been identified as the victim. The preliminary investigation indicates that Danner was involved in a verbal altercation thatescalated into gunfire, according to Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department. Mauldin added that no suspects are in custody, but that the shooting appears to be the result of a domestic dispute.
