2021 Black Health Matters Conference

News

9 Geneva Street, Boston MA

Description

The Black Health Matters Conference at Harvard University aims to address health disparities faced by Black communities across the country and the world. The goal of our conference is to analyze these health disparities and shed light on specific issues ranging from social stigmas surrounding mental health to the impacts of healthcare policy. This year's theme is "Taking an Intersectional Approach to Systemic Racism". We will explore the ways in which the multitude of identities that Black people hold (gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, ethnic identity, etc.) are differentially impacted by systemic inequalities. Our various panels and workshops will feature aspects of community health and concerns specific to the Boston community. **You can purchase tickets on our website: www.harvardblackhealth.org **Note, our page bio incorrectly states that this event is free. We offer low-price tickets as well as reduced priced tickets for students.
