Description
You may be eligible to participate in a blood pressure study that focuses on the effect of the protein STRIATIN on blood pressure. The study is at the forefront of personalized medicine and will help us to determine the most effective treatment option for hypertension based on each individual’s specific genetic profile.
You may qualify for the study if you…
• Are above the age of 18
• Have hypertension
• Do not have any other serious medical conditions
The study involves eating a low salt diet, taking an FDA-approved study medication for
four months and participating in outpatient visits at the CCI at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Initial participation in this study consists of a medical history and physical exam, including a blood draw and urine collection for routine analysis. This research study will last approximately 4 months. Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary.
