Hello - Peninsula Museum of Art, a 30+ year-old 501c3 registered California nonprofit contemporary art organization, is seeking volunteers for our new art hub located at the Shops at Tanforan in San Bruno. Our mission is to engage and inspire our local community with art shows, education and programs. Check us out at peninsulamuseum.org. We're looking for motivated art students, artists and art-lovers who can contribute their time and skills towards developing our hub into a vital art resource for the community. Right now we need assistance with installations, helping us put up a new free-admission show for the spring: patching, painting, selecting and hanging art. Then, we need volunteers to staff our space (at least one shift per week) and contribute to our evolving vision-- we welcome art enthusiasts who are passionate about Bay Area art and artists and connecting our local community to our efforts. We will work with you to define your goals and tailor your experience to enhance your resume or learn new skills. Volunteers should be able to bend down to unlock the doors and also lift 30 pounds comfortably. Please email us describing your interests and background. Thank you!
