Our employees are one of the reasons we are able to deliver authentic, genuine, creative, and exceptional hospitality services to our guests. We are now hiring for a Landscape Manager. This is a benefited position. The Landscape Manager works under the Director of Agronomy in a working supervisory capacity. Responsibilities include developing landscape maintenance and construction plans, leading crews, overseeing job performance and inspecting the property site and landscape areas daily. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: -Landscape Manager works closely with the Director of Agronomy in developing maintenance plans and budgets for all areas of responsibility. Maintenance plans will consist of mowing, edging, weeding, fertilizing, irrigation management, and any other required maintenance to achieve acceptable standards. -Interviews, hires, trains, directs and supervises the staff of the Landscape Department. Responsible for payroll time tracking approvals and ensuring department splits are submitted to accounting. -Supplies daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules and project lists for the maintenance of all Pronghorn common grounds, member estate maintenance contracts, and HOA areas of responsibility, including, The Estates, Villas, Residence Club Buildings 1-6 and Easement. -In coordination with the Director of Agronomy, works with the HOA manager to understand annual maintenance contracts of the four HOA's and makes annual recommendations to include rate and scope of service adjustments and additional project work. -Aware of all Design Review Guidelines as it pertains to landscape. -Communicates with vendors and completes monthly billings to HOA's and homeowners in coordination with accounting. -Leads winter staff and participates in snow removal activities to include staffing, schedules, materials procurement, equipment planning, time sheet reporting, and billing. -Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new employee. Develops ongoing training programs i.e. videos, training documents, SOP's. -Incorporates safe work practices in job performance and holds monthly departmental safety meetings. Supervising the efficient use and maintenance of the equipment fleet. Conducts regular staff meetings with subordinates. Able to effectively handle multiple tasks. QUALIFICATIONS Required Requires a minimum of five years working full-time in the landscape industry. Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy/Horticulture/Plant/Soil Sciences/Landscape Architecture/Design, or an advanced knowledge in Turf-grass and Landscape management, horticulture, diseases, insects and weeds. This may also include an Associate degree or certificate in a relevant field. Needs to understand plant physiology, irrigation and drainage systems and have a working knowledge of pesticide and fertilizer applications. Should be aware of environmental issues and be an Environmental Steward. Desirable Ability to speak Spanish Construction Experience Come join us and help create lasting memories for our guests!
