Experienced Diesel Mechanic - nights/weekends Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned) -Perform routine and preventative maintenance services on all equipment -Communicate frequently with Shop Manager on repairs needed. -Troubleshoot breakdowns and advise/repair as needed. -Contain costs by the following; evaluating part wear, service options, and following all SRT guidelines. -Repair, adjust, or replace worn and damaged parts as needed. -Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to troubleshoot issues and ensure vehicle in proper operating condition. -Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems as needed. -Maintain safe and organized work area. Required Qualifications -Valid driver's license -Minimum 3 years of experience as diesel technician with practical experience in commercial truck repair field -Demonstrated knowledge in identifying parts and components of diesel truck engines, transmissions, and braking mechanisms; proven ability to disassemble, work on, and reassemble diesel truck parts and machinery; ability to identify mechanical and electronic problems, make repairs, and offer a proper maintenance strategy. -Ability to meet physical demands of the job in safe and alert manner (job requires frequent lifting/moving up to 50lbs, climbing, stooping, kneeling, seeing, grasping, hearing, etc.) -Proficient in use of all tools of trade; must have own hand tools Hourly pay + Benefits Contact Dave at Chuck Bracelin Trucking, INC. 541-290-9198
