A wind farm in Tehachapi CA has a full-time, permanent position for a wind turbine technician. The 40-hr work week is Monday-Friday, 7:00AM – 3:00PM. While no prior work experience on wind turbines is necessary, the successful applicant must have a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to climb and work at heights of 80 feet, multiple times a day. The starting wage is $13/hour for non-experienced applicants. The starting wage for an applicant with verified, work experience as a wind turbine technician, will be determined based on their experience and qualifications.
