JOB DESCRIPTION: PCB SOLDERING TECHNICIAN 1. OVERVIEW A computer services company in North West Houston is looking for a PCB Soldering Technician to support a project. This job requires one to have nimble fingers to use small tools with great care to perform work with a very high level of attention to detail. The ideal candidates must have a strong knowledge of best practices in the electronic assembly environment. Previous experience at HP, Flextronics, Foxconn is a plus. 2. DUTIES • Performs Surface Mount and Thru Hole soldering • Uses structured BOMs, assembly drawings and kit identification • Reads work orders to determine material requirements or assembly instructions • Works independently using electronics technician hand tools to assemble and manufacture products • Uses small hand tools for positioning parts to assist in assembly operation, stripping wire, forming leads, etc. • Tests PCB’s after soldering to ensure they function as intended • Uses test equipment and test fixtures for quality control of solder assemblies • Meets tight deadlines and works in a fast pace environment 3. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma or Equivalent • Strong aptitude for electronic and mechanical assembly practices • Quality inspection experience a plus • IPC A-610 or J-Std certification a plus • SMT machine operator experience a plus • Must be agile and able to work multiple projects • Very high level of attention to detail and a team player • Works well independently and in a group setting • Must be able to speak, read, and write English • Must be comfortable working with internet browsers, tabs, and PDF documents • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check Interested applicants must submit a copy of their resume.
