Description

I'm looking to put together a new heavyish band. Sound doesn't matter as long as its emotional, melodic, and catchy. I've been in bands for years but took a break. I've toured, played Warped Tour, recorded a LP and two EPs, etc. I've done a lot to make music my career and I failed even though I gave it my all. I am older now and my priorities have somewhat changed, but I still need a musical outlet. Please listen to following songs of my old band before reading on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cskc_afJLRk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zz2kBhyqsVI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5bzpa9-IA4 Check out a song I'm working on by myself here (not mixed or mastered) - The way I've been writing lately is very melodic, don't think of it as how I want the band to sound as more of the style I'm writing at this moment. https://soundcloud.com/matthew-tyler-728201578/song4 I play guitar and I do clean vocals. I have multiple guitars, an ENGL Powerball 100W head, a full cab with v30s, wireless, mics, etc. My influences are Finch, The Color Morale, Misery Signals, A Day to Remember, Thursday, and modern Metalcore. I'm also a huge fan of Pop/Punk. My vision for this band is we have the best sounding equipment, the best sounding recordings, we practice regularly and we put on a professional show. I am not wanting to make music my career but I want to play shows. I am in my thirties and I do not want to live in a van anymore scraping gas money to get to the next venue. I've done that and that's behind me. I am open to small runs and discussing a couple longer runs if time off makes sense. If you feel like this is something that resonates with you, send me an email. PS - It's been a while, if anyone has any other websites or resources for starting a band I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
