Companion for my dad

Hello, I recently moved my dad to Texarkana because he was no longer able to completely care for himself in Florida. He has mild dementia and for the most part does really well though he doesn't drive. I fill in the gaps by getting groceries and taking him to get a haircut and such but what he really needs is friendship and that been hard to get a handle on here. He's not been able to connect with anyone at the semi-assisted facility he lives at; they're too old he says LOL. Ideally Id like to find someone who can hang out with him a few times a week. Take him to the store, or to the movies. Just be a companion, I suppose.
