WHITEFISH BAY, WI—While there is currently no mask mandate in Whitefish Bay, that could soon change. The village board discussed face masks last Monday evening and has now directed staff to move forward with drafting an ordinance to require them. "We are working with the village attorney on a draft for board consideration," Whitefish Bay Village President Julie Siegel said in the village's latest newsletter. Currently in Whitefish Bay, masks are strongly recommended to be worn in public places by the North Shore Health Department. In Milwaukee County, there are 16,247 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 367 deaths as of Monday afternoon. Do you think face masks should be required in Whitefish Bay? Tell us what you think in the comments section below. We'd love to hear from you.
