WHITEFISH BAY, WI — The owner of a historic property on N. Lake Drive in Whitefish Bay has been given the go-ahead to raze his home after a last-ditch effort to save it was denied.
According to a JSOnline report, John Brodersen, who owns the home at 4640 N. Lake Drive, has wanted to tear down the $1.6 million English Tudor to make way for a new home. The Village Board voted to deny an appeal from the Historic Preservation Commission to prevent the home's demolition.
According to a property description on Zillow, the 6-bed, 6-bathroom home is a "Richard Phillip English Tudor with extraordinary sight lines, architectural detail, and well-thought-out updates."
It was assessed at $1.7 million in 2018, according to property records.
