WAUWATOSA, WI — A peaceful protest in honor of those who have lost their lives to police brutality is scheduled for Tuesday night in Wauwatosa, and organizers say a memorial involving glow-in-the-dark bracelets will be involved to mourn their loss. According to an event page posted on Facebook, the peaceful protest will begin Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. as attendees are asked to meet in the Kohl's parking lot on 124th Street and North Ave. "I am purchasing glow stick bracelets that you can either wear or just carry. At the end of the protest in front of the police station, we will peacefully place our bracelets in the lawn and have somebody say a few words in honor of the [black, indigenous and people of color] lives taken by police brutality. At the end, please pick up your bracelet and take it with you," the protest's organizer wrote.
