WAUKESHA, WI—The current City Hall will be closed to the public on Thursday, Jan. 21 and Friday, Jan. 22 as staff move to the new City Hall building (located next door to the current City Hall at 201 Delafield St.), according to the city's Facebook page. The new City Hall will open on Monday, Jan. 25. As the pandemic is still ongoing, residents are encouraged to access City services online, prior to visiting offices in person. Virtual events will take place on Thursday, February 4 to introduce the public to the new City Hall and celebrate Waukesha's official 125th Anniversary as a City! https://waukesha-wi.gov/1919/Anniversary-Events The City of Waukesha announces the celebration of the 125th anniversary of its incorporation as a City with monthly events throughout the year 2021. The City was officially incorporated on February 4, 1896 and will be recognizing the anniversary with the theme "Looking Back – Reaching Forward." The City of Waukesha is an award-winning community located along the shores of the Fox River, 15 miles west of Milwaukee. Waukesha is the seventh largest City in the state with a population of just over 72,000 people. Throughout the year 2021, the City will be celebrating its 125th anniversary since incorporation with the theme of "Looking Back- Reaching Forward."
