WAUKESHA, WI—A community dental facility in Waukesha continues to give people something to smile about. The Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic, a non-profit dental provider for low-income families, announced its official rebrand as Community Smiles Dental, according to a news release. Community Smiles Dental's mission is to improve the lives of the underserved through oral healthcare services, preventive education, and advocating for systemic healthcare change, according to its website. Since opening in 2008, the Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic has been a resource for low-income families who are state insured or uninsured and consistently struggle with access to quality and affordable dental care. The Waukesha clinic is located at 210 NW Barstow Street, Suite 305. A second clinic in Menomonee Falls,N81 W15062 Appleton Avenue, opened in 2018. Services are now extended to Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha Counties. "We have experienced consistent patient demand since opening our doors and have remained strategically focused on addressing the gap in dental care access in our area," said Renee Ramirez, Chief Executive Officer in a news release. "Community is the core of who we are—we were built by community members, grown by community support, and look ahead with an unwavering commitment to serve those in our community with the greatest need." "It has been an honor to serve nearly 17,000 patients over the last 12 years. As we continue to grow our reach and impact, we look towards our future with ongoing determination to improve oral health. Our updated name and brand celebrate our growing geographic reach and community impact," said Hanneke Deeken, Board Chair and founding board member. In addition to the new name, the rebrand includes a new logo and website.
