Jobs

New York City NY

Description

We are recruiting participants for a new research study on the effects of dietary cocoa flavanols on memory and cognition. Flavanols are plant derived nutrients found in cocoa beans, grapes, tea, berries and various other fruits and vegetables. The specific flavanols investigated in this study come from cocoa. Participants will be asked to take cocoa flavanol capsules once a day over a 12 week period. Study visits will also include cognitive testing sessions, blood draws, questionnaires, and MRI scans prior to and after flavanol consumption. You may be eligible if you are between 50 – 69 years old, in good health, and can travel to the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Participants will be paid for each cognitive testing and MRI scan, up to a total of $350. To find out if you are eligible for the study, fill out our survey by going to https://www.sac-cu2.org/Cocoa2/prescreen.aspx
