MILWAUKEE, WI — November's wet and unseasonably cold weather will be making its return to the area starting later this week — and it's no fun — except for maybe one particular man on the job at Milwaukee's Mitchel International Airport. Earlier this month, weather conditions made it necessary for crews to de-ice planes before they took off from Milwaukee. On one particular flight, just before 6 p.m. on Nov. 14, UW-Madison student Claire Embil was waiting for the plane to taxi to the runway aboard a Southwest Airlines flight when she saw an unusual sight. Idk who this man is but he made a delayed flight so much better! Sims was recorded 30 feet aloft in a bucket at the end of a retractable arm. Sims had the job of spraying the plane with de-icing solution. But as he did, Embil caught the employee on video dancing on the job - and bringing just a little bit of lightness to the overcast, windy and icy day. Sometimes all it takes is 15 seconds of someone like Davon Sims to realize it doesn't take much to bring a little joy to your surroundings.
