GREENDALE, WI — Citing an urgent shortage of poll workers for election day, Greendale Village Clerk Melanie Pietruszka said voters in four village wards will have new polling places for the April 7 election.
"Unfortunately, we will not have the staffing that we need to run all five polling locations," Pietruszka said. "We apologize for the late change, but we are taking steps to notify everyone by mail of the new locations."

These polling places have changed:
Greendale High School, Wards 1, 2, has been moved to The Safety Center, 5911 W. Grange Ave.College Park School, Wards 5, 6, has been moved to Highland View School, 5900 S. 51st Street.Central Count, absentee processing has been moved to The Hose Tower, 5699 Parking Street. Even though polling places will be open on election day, Village Clerk urged voters in Village of Greendale to avoid polling places and vote absentee by mail instead, if possible.
"We want everyone who is eligible and who wants to vote to be able to do so safely," Pietruszka said. "Absentee voting will greatly reduce crowds at polling places on Election Day, which will make social distancing much easier."
