GREENDALE, WI — A Greendale woman who tried alerting a passing motorist that their headlights were off had the driver pull a gun on her, Greendale police said.
According to Greendale police call logs, officers were sent to the area of S. 76th Street and W. Grange Ave. just before 9 p.m. on Aug. 12 on a report that someone pointed a gun at another person.
Greendale police said a woman called 911, saying that she was trying to tell a motorist their headlights were off, when the motorist pulled their car over and pointed a gun at her.
According to Greendale police, the woman wrote down the license plate number of the vehicle before it could speed away, and it proved helpful to officers who later tracked the vehicle down.
Authorities said they arrested the driver, a 61-year-old woman, on suspicion of endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.
