A New Coffee and Cocktails Experience Comes to Ballpark Commons

FRANKLIN, WI— Ballpark Commons announced today the arrival of Blend Coffee & Cocktails, a one-of-a-kind food and beverage experience, located next to Wheel & Sprocket. The new shop, offering coffee, tea, and food items as well as alcoholic drinks, will open its doors this week with a grand opening coming later this holiday season. "Blend will put equal emphasis on coffee & tea as it will cocktails," noted Mike Zimmerman, CEO of ROC Ventures. "The shop will serve as the community's local coffee house by day and pivot to a cocktail lounge in the evenings , where they will feature a specialty cocktail, martini, wine, and beer menu." To create the coffee menu, ROC Ventures teamed with Tradecraft Coffee and Tea Outfitters, providers of culinary-quality coffees and teas. "Tradecraft has access to the full spectrum of roasters, beans, and food items," Zimmerman said. "That means our menu will evolve and constantly improve." This winter, Blend will be serving hot and cold coffee drinks from Colectivo, Frothy Monkey, and Dark Matter, teas from RISHI, and bakery items by Troubadour Bakery in Bay View, Wis. Because it is launching during a challenging time, Blend Coffee & Cocktails will spend its initial months of operation concentrating on creating a convenient to-go operation for coffee and limited capacity for its cocktail lounge consistent with recommended safety and prevention measures during COVID-19. Patrons can order via an app and pick up their food and beverages with safe social distancing in place via our Toast Takeout Application. "The ultimate goal of a place like Blend is to facilitate community by curating a food and beverage menu with the process of placemaking. Becoming the local coffee shop and cocktail lounge will bring people together and create meaningful collisions," Zimmerman said. "That is our goal in the future when we get past the pandemic. In the meantime, we'll be perfecting a wonderful mix of coffee, tea, cocktails, and food that will be easily accessible."
