Northshore Student Musicians Receive State, Regional And National Honors

From the Northshore School District: February 4, 2021 Congratulations to our Northshore student musicians who were recently recognized by the Washington Music Educators Association (WMEA) and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Annually, WMEA selects outstanding musicians from Washington State to participate in All-State and Junior All-State performing groups. In addition to these statewide ensembles, a number of high school students were also selected by NAfME to participate in All-Northwest performing groups. These students represent the top performers from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming. NAfME also selects students for All-National ensembles. They also represent the most elite high school musicians from across the country. Accomplished student musicians are selected from thousands of students who audition to participate in these prestigious ensembles. While there will not be a live performance event this year, accepted students will have the opportunity to participate in virtual masterclasses alongside other outstanding student musicians.
