Description
Press release from the City of Woodinville:
September 14, 2020
The City is now accepting comprehensive plan amendment applications for consideration in 2021. To be eligible for consideration, applications for privately initiated amendments must be submitted by 5 p.m. on September 30, 2020.
The Washington Growth Management Act limits Comprehensive Plan amendments to no more than once per calendar year, except for certain exemptions and emergency actions. Anyone can suggest an amendment, including residents, business owners, council members and city staff. An example of a Comprehensive Plan amendment might include proposed changes to zoning, land use, or development goals and policies.
The City will put together a docket of suggested changes to the Comprehensive Plan for City Council consideration in March of 2021. Following adoption of the docket, the Planning Commission will hold public hearings and develop recommendations on proposed amendments. City Council will then vote to accept or deny the proposed amendments.
Instructions on how to submit a Comprehensive Plan amendment are available on the City's website. The current fees for a comprehensive plan amendment can be found in the City's fee schedule. For questions, contact Amanda Almgren, Planning Manager, at [email protected].
