WOODINVILLE, WA — King County detectives and Woodinville firefighters were called to the scene of a car explosion Thursday morning, and soon discovered a body inside the vehicle, the sheriff's office said. King County Major Crimes responding to investigate.— King County Sheriff's Office PIO (@kingcosoPIO) March 5, 2020 According to Woodinville Fire and Rescue, crews extinguished a fully-involved vehicle fire on the 15300 block of Woodinville-Redmond Road around 10:30 a.m. A spokesman for the sheriff's office said he was working to learn more details about the incident as major crimes detectives continue to investigate. Photos shared on social media by Q13 News showed a bomb squad and ATF teams assisting in the investigation. The sheriff's office tweeted Thursday afternoon that it was waiting for the medical examiner's office to remove the victim from the vehicle before detectives could investigate what caused the explosion.
