Norland International and ABE Beverage Equipment are looking for a material handler to work full-time in our parts warehouse and assist with shipping needs. Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities to be Considered Qualified for the Position: 1. Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship 2. Basic computer literacy/competency. 3. Although primarily a week-day, day-shift position, individual must have the ability to work extended hours, overtime as needed. 4. Ability to take and follow direction. 5. Good driving record and ability to obtain mobile equipment/fork truck operating license. 6. Effective depth perception and ability to discern distance while moving materials. This is especially important while placing/removing materials from second and third level racking. 7. Ability to twist, turn, stoop, knee, climb, push, pull and lift up to seventy five pounds on an as-needed basis. 8. Ability to read and comprehend numbers so as pick orders, discern lot or product numbers, and move/store materials to proper bin locations. 9. Positive, "Can-Do" attitude, having the ability to work effectively with others as the leader, but effective member, of a team. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Previous/proven work history as a material handler and fork truck operator within warehouse setting. 2. Proven understanding & application of the core warehousing and logistic concepts/methodologies. Essential Functions of Job: 1. Use of powered industrial fork trucks or manual hand jacks to load or unload trucks. 2. Use of powered industrial fork trucks or manual hand jacks to move product throughput the facility. 3. Operate mobile equipment and assist with load, unload, stocking and inventory movement as needed to support team and ensure needed results. 4. Picking of parts for build tickets and sales orders. 5. Assist with the loading of equipment into containers or vans. Secures/restrains loads. 6. Assisting in putting parts away in proper bin locations. 7. May be required to perform minor carpentry work while building crate or nesting cradles for equipment 8. Helps to keep the warehouse clean and organized. 9. Move boxes and materials as needed, working to limit force to seventy five pounds or less, to support the warehouse team and achieve needed outcomes. 10. Conforms to all established warehouse and material handling instructions, standards and protocol. 11. Cross-train and assist with small and large shipping clerk needs such as booking trucks, shipping small packages, etc. 12. Other duties as assigned.
