SEATTLE — Police arrested a man in South Seattle early this morning after an officer found himpretending to be asleep in a stolen car.
According to the Seattle Police Department, around 3:30 a.m., an officer was driving down a cul-de-sac at 33rd Avenue South and South Eddy Court when he spotted a stolen car, which he'd taken a report on just days earlier.
Police said the officer saw a man in the driver's seat, who appeared to be pretending tosleep.
Police took the man into custody and found a set of modified keys—typically used by carthieves—in the vehicle, along with a driver's license and bank card, which did not belong to the suspect, the department said.
Officers booked the 50-year-old suspect into the King County Jail for possession of a stolenvehicle.
