RENTON, WA — A construction project to replace an aging playground began this week at Renton's Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park. If all goes according to schedule, the brand new play area will open in early 2021, featuring updated equipment for children between 2 and 5 years old. According to the city, more than 900 community members provided input for the new playground's design and layout, which includes several components for children of all abilities.
