RENTON, WA — Renton's series of retooled summer events continues this week with the STREAM Team. The after-school program is typically offered on weekdays throughout the year, and tailored for after-school learning in science, recreation, environment, arts and math for kids ages 5 to 14. This week includes three chances for families to come pick up recreational kits for some home-based fun: Tuesday, Aug. 252:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.Earlington Park 272 Thomas Avenue SouthwestThursday, Aug. 272:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.Tiffany Park1902 Lake Youngs Way SoutheastSaturday, Aug. 2911 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.Renton Community Center1715 Maple Valley Highway Each themed activity kit includes sports balls, STEM projects and more so kids can participate in some hands-on fun at home.
