Yard Employee with Fork Truck & Shop Responsibilities for Luby Shoring Services, LLC Luby Shoring Services is a rapidly growing company involved in the rental and sales of shoring equipment with our Headquarters in Fenton, Missouri. We are looking for a shop/yard employee that would ensure that rental, shop, and yard equipment is properly maintained and repaired to maximize productivity. This position is dedicated to the safe service of trench safety rental equipment. This is an excellent employment and career growth opportunity for the right candidate. Job Description The Shop/Yard employee is responsible for creating a safe work environment while maintaining the rental fleet inventory and other heavy equipment operated within the company, scheduling and performing timely repairs for rental and customer equipment, diagnosing all equipment in the rental fleet making sure it is in rent ready condition, assisting in ordering needed parts from vendors when needed, the ability to assemble and dissemble shoring products, and assist customers with the loading and unloading of shoring products (this requires operating a large scale forklift as well as physical transfers with smaller products). Deliveries/Pick-ups may also have to be made to customers using a pickup truck. General Requirements The ideal candidate will have a mechanical background, knowledge particularly with heavy equipment or trench safety related products and applications, know how to operate machinery such as a forklift, welder & power washer and be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. A CDL is a plus, as well as welding experience. Candidates should also have knowledge of inventory control, quality control, work flow/assembly processes, and exhibit strong leadership, teamwork, verbal, and written skills. Other requirements include basic data entry skills with emphasis on accuracy, good verbal/written communication skills, ability to multi-task, good organizational skills, and self-motivated. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required. Regular business hours are 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. If needed, you must be able to come in early, work late and be available for emergency calls on evenings/weekend(average about 2 times a month).
