PUYALLUP, WA — An series of fires across Pierce County has caused massive power outages Tuesday, leading the Puyallup School District to cancel all classes for the day.
The Puyallup School District currently has all students learning from home. The widespread outages mean that some students do not have power at home and cannot attend their classes, so the district has elected to cancel class for all students.
Classes have also been cancelled for the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District.
However, Puyallup schools will continue to provide meals at all the regular meal distribution sites as previously planned.
