GIG HARBOR, WA — The Pierce County Sheriff's Department is looking for the suspect who broke into a Gig Harbor home Friday, ransacked it and beat the homeowner into critical condition. According to deputies they were first alerted to the issue around 1 p.m. Friday, when a woman called 911 to report that she had found a family member severely injured inside his home on 112th St. Ct. NW. When deputies arrived, they say they found the home ransacked, that the suspect had likely been trying to raid the home when they were interrupted by the homeowner, and had attacked. Medics say the victim suffered "numerous" broken bones and internal injuries. He has been taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Now, deputies are asking for the public's help finding any clues that might help them track down whoever did this. Anyone who finds anything, or knows something about this attack is asked to call deputies immediately.
