Description
BELLEVUE, WA — The Bellevue School District's Board of Directors will hold its regular meeting Tuesday afternoon, with a focus on remote learning and the future of in-person learning.
Tuesday's meeting is scheduled to get underway at 4 p.m., beginning with a brief public comment period. Comments can be e-mailed to the board with the subject line "public comment."
According to the meeting agenda, two hours of the meeting will focus on back-to-school progress during remote learning and the plan for the transition to in-person teaching when it is safe to do so.
Last week, the district abandoned plans to welcome elementary students back to classrooms in late October, citing a rising trend in coronavirus cases in King County. Now, the earliest expected timeframe to begin in-person instruction is in January, following winter break.
Those interested in learning more about Tuesday's meeting can find the agenda and a link to the meeting's live stream on the school district website.
