10 openings available for Press Operators/ Parts Handler Full-Time Permanent Pay: $14/hr Monday- Saturdays • 1st shift: 7am-3pm • 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm • 3rd shift: 11pm-7am Duties include: • Set-up, maintain and operate presses along with heating and trimming equipment to forge and trim a wide variety of parts. • Adjust strokes and clearances, clean up dies and make periodical adjustments to ensure compliance with given customer requirements • Maintain heat in dies prior to and during all operational periods. • Use induction heating unit to obtain heated pieces for forging. May be manual load or hopper feed. Check unit during operation sequence for proper heat and operation • Make necessary adjustments to induction heating unit controls and minor adjustments to auxiliary equipment as needed • Tong material from heating unit to die activity or receive from automatic transfer feed - trip the ram release to complete the forging cycle, trim the part when applicable, and place in chute or container • Make minor touch ups on dies using the necessary tools and small air guns • Frequently check forged parts for form, finish, dimensional accuracy and forging defects • Keep traceability of product in the presses with regards to location and Heat Codes • Assist in mixing lubricants in lubrication tank as needed • Monitor temperature, pressure and other gauges • Performs preventative maintenance checks on press and die sets.
