Improvements On Franklin Road To Begin Next Week

From the City of Roanoke: January 23, 2020 Beginning the week of Jan. 27, the City of Roanoke will be installing storm drains and sidewalks along the shoulder of the southbound lane of Franklin Road SW. As a result, the area between Piccadilly Square and Hounds Chase Lane— from the 3100 block to the 3500 block of Franklin Road SW—will be designated a construction work zone. During the construction project, Franklin Road will be periodically reduced to one lane of travel southbound. The City asks drivers to move slowly through this area for the safety of the construction workers. The project is anticipated to last until July.
