Press release from the City of Roanoke: April 30, 2020 In continued compliance with Executive Orders Number 51 and 55 issued by Governor Ralph Northam prohibiting gatherings of more than 10 people, Roanoke City Council will hold its regular meeting at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 4, using electronic communication means, without the public present in the Council Chamber. Council will not hold briefings on Monday morning. Citizens may register to speak at the 2 p.m. City Council session by calling the City Clerk's office at 540-853-2541 or by sending an email to [email protected] by noon on Monday, May 4. Once registered, the citizen will be given a telephone number to call into the session at the appropriate agenda item. The public will have access to observe this regular meeting of City Council through live cablecast on Roanoke Valley Television Cox Channel 3, and through livestream on the City's Facebook page.
