RESTON, VA — Hunter Mill District Supervisor Walter Alcorn will be hosting two virtual town halls next week to address the concerns of Fairfax County residents.
"Transparency and community engagement continue to be the guideposts of my approach to local government," Alcorn said, in a web post. "As I begin the second year of my term as your supervisor, it is critical that we continue a robust dialogue. I encourage everyone to attend these town halls."
The first virtual town hall is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 16, from 7-9 p.m., and will address public safety concerns in the northern half of the Hunter Mill District. Capt. Thea Pirnat and Lt. Marc Mitchell, the commanders of the Reston District Station of the Fairfax County Police Department, will be on hand to answer questions from the community. Residents may join the virtual meeting via a WebEx link, by calling 1-844-621-3956 and using the access code: 179 543 3978. The meeting will also be live-streamed on YouTube Live. The archived meeting will be available to view at the same link starting Feb. 17.
The second virtual town hall is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 18, from 7-9 p.m. Alcorn will field questions from the public about county-related issues.
