MANASSAS, VA – The arrival of the first baby born at Prince William Medical Center in 2021 didn't come in the seconds or minutes immediately following midnight but was joyfully welcomed into the world before the clock struck 2 AM on January 1. Ariana Leilani Sandoval Arellano was born at 1:43 a.m. on January 1, capturing the honors of being the first baby to arrive at the Norvant Health-University of Virginia System hospital in 2021, officials at Prince William Medical Center announced on Monday. Ariana measured in at 10 pounds, 13 ounces and 20 inches long and is the daughter of Lythcy Arellano and Carlos Sandoval, who live in Gainesville, Va., the hospital announced. The delivery physician was Dr. Eugene Louie-Ng. Ariana becomes the younger sister of 10-month-old Eliana.
