Leesburg, VA (February 11, 2021) – On Tuesday, Leesburg Town Manager Kaj Dentler presented his proposed Fiscal Year 2022 Budget to the Town Council. Over the next month, the Council will hold three work sessions to review and discuss the proposed budget as well as the proposed Fiscal Year 2022-2027 Capital Improvements Program.
The Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget and a separate public hearing on the real property tax rate. All work sessions and public hearings will be held in the Council Chamber on the second floor of Town Hall (25 West Market Street):
• Monday, February 22, 7 p.m. Budget Work Session
• Monday, March 8, 7 p.m. Budget Work Session
• Tuesday, March 9, 7 p.m. Budget Public Hearing
• Saturday, March 20, 9 a.m. Budget Work Session
• Monday, March 22, 7 p.m. Budget Work Session
• Tuesday, March 23, 7 p.m. Real Property Tax Rate Public Hearing Budget and Tax Rate Adoption
The public is welcome to attend the work sessions and public hearings, which will be broadcast on the Town's local government access channel (Xfinity Channel 67 and FiOS Channel 35) and streamed live on the Town website (www.leesburgva.gov/webcasts). A copy of the proposed budget document is available on the Town website at www.leesburgva.gov/budget.
